As part of our aim of making travel easy and affordable, we will roll out allocated seating across our network from November 2012.
We have been trialling allocated seating since April and over this period just over 800,000 passengers have flown on 6,000 trial flights.
Research among these passengers shows that more than 70% think allocated seating is better than easyJet’s current system, due to the improved boarding experience, while over 60% said that they are more likely to use easyJet in the future as a result.

Hurray! This is really good news for clients! I hated the old system too! It was stressful not knowing exactly where you will be seated especially when you are a couple and board after everybody else…

Great!
Win, win situation for both customer and airline. Boarding will be faster, and early reports say that revenues from pre-booked EZY seating are higher than the old ‘Speedy-Boarding’ option.
I guess that means FR will follow suit?

I’ve only flown with EZY once and hated free seating so much I vowed never to do so again despite thinking everything else was great.
Glad to hear they are going for allocated seating.

At last. The boarding process will be way more efficient.
