What do you think easyJet and Go would call themselves if they merged?
Note: They would most likely not be called either because we have been told it will be a merger not a take over by either party!!

Andrew
P.S. goJet?
Wouldn’t that mean the new airline would have over 100 737’s???

RE: easyJet and Go
The easyLand chap is wrong Andrew – it is a takeover, as EZY are acquiring 80% of the share capital of Go.
I think what he meant was that they were “merging operations”. Ie. the marketing spin is that two great airlines are combining their operational strengths.

RE: easyJet and Go
Yeah, the information on their site must be correct but i just checked again and their reporter who was at easyLand said it was a merger of the two companies. Could they make up their minds soon??

RE: easyJet and Go
GoEasy?
No – I think it will still be Easyjet. Companies do not normally rebrand just because they buy a competitor.

RE: easyJet and Go
Well according to the BBc article it says that easyjet wish to buyout Go – that is effectively a takeover,by no-means a merger!
