Trust me Liverpool is bigger than it was. When i went there 2 weeks ago with EZY to Geneva, theyt were in the process of building new gates. Movements are increasing, as we landed back in LPL, ther came bout 8 others in a matter of moments! And 2 new peirs are set to be built in the “near” future. The future is bright for LPL, but i like MAN more!

When i say second base, i meant second to be set up after Luton.

Also Belfast is putting in 5 new stands due to easyJet growth and this aparently will be only for easyJet flights with current easyjet stands going to Jet2, bmibaby etc.
Thanks for that 🙂
Maybe next time I wont arrive and depart from Stand 17 at BFS as on all 4 occasions ive been there thats the stand Jet2 have used. The departure lounge of that gate is very grotty!

Second base? -i’m guessing Stansted after the Go merger…

Liverpool was Easyjet second base, it started with two routes in 1998 14 flights per week to Amsterdam and Nice no based aircrfat. The following year 4 aircraft were bases and 96 departures a week. They now has 13 routes, 8 based aircraft and 195 departures a week. LPL is very much Easyjetville, with 737-300/700, I guess it time this will change to A319s.

I thought the crew were dual based at both GLA and EDI.

They have crew based at Glasgow also but its not a easyjet base as such if you get what i mean.
By: RIPConcorde - 15th April 2004 at 18:32
Actually, Easyjet does have a CREW base at EDI, not sure about aircraft though.

DOES NO ONE EVER LISTEN WHEN I SAY EZY ARE PULLING OUT OF ZURICH??? I’ve said it twice on here in the last two days, but apparently they’re STILL thinking of making it a base?:(
Sod this for a game of sojers.

CWL is much busier than MME, for the simple fact it has an established lo-co in BMi Baby based there. That alone makes it busier than MME (yes I know WW are having an a/c based at MME this summer but only one!). CWL also has Air Wales and regular charter flights.
By: Airline owner - 15th April 2004 at 13:31
2 low cost carriers operate to CWL so it should be fairly large ( BMI BABY and Air Wales)
