How many Air UK 747-400s were operated then?

…dodgy transfers were stuck on them…
The font style seems to be too bold and the top of the flag should be almost horizontal as shown here. Do the upper deck passengers have to sit in darkness?!

You can actually see the faded transfers on the Air UK model as well. Just look at the bottom blue line where it ends, the fuselage turns a bit yellowish. The tail logo has a yellow border around it as well.

I found out a bit more about them, They were mass produced white plastic model 747’s and dodgy transfers were stuck on them, there are all different airlines available from TAP Portugal to Olympic. You can see the fading and yellowing of the stuck on transfers on some of them.

I cannot see if it has winglets. Many of the e-bayers dont know what they are selling and havent a clue at what price they should be sold at. Sometimes that is good becasue it means you can get lots of cheap models, and at other times its bad like when there are only a few models for sale and they are all a rip off. Will let you know whether it has winglets or not when I get it!

hehhe. yup. I won it. I have quite a large collection of models, and have a new addition to my fleet!
Is it really a 400 ? could it be a 300 or wingletless 400, sometimes these e-bay vendors haven’t a clue what they’re selling ?

Look at who the winning bidder is. Is that the Minidoh that we know?

Oh yeah, from the 70’s alright.
The 400 wasn’t even drawn up on the blueprints in the 70’s!
