Ecuador T-33 and F-80 Operations

Are there any experts in this field that can clarify the serial batch situation. I ask because it seems that serials were transferred between the types. For example there is a well known image of TF-868 on the net as a T-33 in flight but serial list show this as a F-80C. Does anyone know the actual situation?
