This has been released to the public today, shows lots of exciting developments, however BAA have left it open to changes, obviously 2030 is still a long time away, never mind 2013. 😉
No final decision has been made on the 2nd runway, it’ll have to be analysed again in the next decade to determine whether it is needed or not, odds are on it to be needed, but alot can happen in that time frame!

Must be for the rugby…..?
The bizjets were present in connection with a conference, apparently.

Talking of EDI, does anyone know why there were so many bizjets in there today?
10 Gulfstreams and a BD-700, or so I’m given to understand – all lined up in a row, too.
Any pictures?

The FOAI Economic Impact Report which a lot of the economic and employment predictions are based on is also available –

EDI sure is a lean operation! 😮

AFAIK they were all US-registered, RIP, so I think we can probably rule out a Rugby Union connection.
Hmm, not sure then. Quite possible it was just a ‘busy day’, given the lack of any other viable reasons….

Not sure, the Heineken Cup final is at Murrayfield this weekend, so it could be for that. Got a 747 due in too. Or it could just be coincidence. EDI already gets its fair share of bizjets on a daily basis, although that’s alot of Gulfstreams!

If you look at the BAA report issued and the map of the airport current land usage, the shape of the boundary resembles a giant hand gun pointing towards GLA and PIK.
Funny that ? 😀 😮
How observant of you. 😀 Looks more like a handgun to me….. :diablo:

news regarding airports doesnt seem to attract alot of attention on here. Nobody seem interested when I started a thread about DUB getting a second runway and 2 new terminals. HAHAHAHA DUB plans flatten EDIs LOL
