I remember London Airport with its 1960s two-bar wooden fence. I know military/MOD airfields had fences back then. I didn’t realise other civil airports had them.

They didn’t have wire fences around airports back then, or cameras.

Oh yes they did..i used to take photo’s through fences in the fifties and sixties

I wonder if he had to cut a hole in the fence to get his camera lense through. 😀

They didn’t have wire fences around airports back then, or cameras.

Love the photos, and the ones on the Edinburgh site are super too. Love the Skyways and the Air Luton C-47s.
