Took a trip to Edinburgh today with KevinWm to catch the Belgian air Deffence and the il96 along with a few others, the pics i have put on here are of the Belgian air Deffence airbus after landing when it had an engine fire presumably due to a bird stike, it is roumered that a loud bang was heard as she was landing as you can see the engine was on fire but was put out and the fire service was out after a few minutes to escort her as she limped to a remort part of the terminal.

Sorry about the quality
Thanks for looking
All the rest of the day will follow

Brilliant capture Rab, not very often you manage to get somehing like that…and have a camera with you. I see there is a shot of the incident on the front page of Airliners.net.
All the best

Thanks for your comments allen much apprexiated but i slated another spotter on here over the carry on at glasgow for trying to get the media to buy his pics, i think it would be hypicritical of me to try and do the same thing, i would love to contact the papers but after that i think i will just keep posting on here .
Just watch someone doesn’t use your pics without your permission though Rab, it’s happened before,

Great shots Rab and very newsworthy, give the Edinburgh Evening News a bell.
