The guy int he first picture is a bit boastful 😛
Yes, especially if he’s demonstrating the width of the Islander cabin… Mind you, who would be the chap at the front, who appears to be taller than the aircraft itself !

Pics from the year I was born. Fascinating stuff!
I was nine at the time and just about to get into aviation, courtesy of a school visit and talk by a Loganair Islander pilot from Inchinnan. Quite possibly pictured…;)

Memorable pictures there, aren’t they twice as old as you Samuel?:D
I think they are yes =D – 14 years older than me. Still great to see what it was like back in the days for me. 🙂

Is that really how things were one year before I was born? I feel old now!
Excellent photos, Robert. It’s always a pleasure to see some older shots so thankyou for sharing!

Ah, the days when there was a spectator’s terrace at Edinburgh.

Awesome to see the Laker!
I read some where that a few ex Laker DC-10s are still flying! Wonder where?
Freddie’s planes have longevity. Only two have been scrapped. G-BBSZ, BGXE, BGXG, BGXH and BGXI are stored. ‘BELO is the Project Orbis plane and BGXF, GFAL and GSKY fly for Fedex.

Loving these pictures mate. 28 years ago fairly shows on some pictures. 😉 I’m heading down to PIK tomorrow to take some myself. 🙂
