Hi all,
This one is hot off the bench this morning, It is my best model yet with regards to things going just right, and it was a quick build too, only taking me four days.
The paint is Halfords plastic primer on the top side and the barley grey underneath is my own mix of humbrol enamels, the kit fell together with very little filling and once complete received a coat of Klear, then the decals went on and another coat of Klear to seal them in.
XR728 is currently kept in running order along with XS904 by the Lightning Preservation Group at Bruntingthorpe, twice a year the gates are opened to the public and they tear up the runway along with the other cold war jets there, a highly recomended experience I can tell you!!.

Belly up…..

The Lightning force is growing!!

A few little niggles with this Hasegawa kit is the IFR probe is inacurate as is the arrestor hook but for six quid I aren’t complaining.
The real deal at Bruntingthorpe, John Spencer about to plug the burners in and wake up the neighbours!!.

All comment welcome,
John.
