EEGW inspector stamp

Several years ago I acquired a large aluminium fin that was part way though milling and still had its holding posts attached.

It was unidentified and posted on the “old” here without further ident.

I was cleaning it up this morning and found numbers and stamps.

The fin is made in two parts – both with an EEGW stamp.

The part numbers are :

H185367  MR467847/21 and HI863I0 ISS1 RN438340 DP

MR479353/34 and H186309 ISS1 RN438336 D

So I am guessing from an English Electric site ? I know that they made missiles too but it does not look like a thunderbird part.

Thank you Baz I was looking for sites not divisions with GW in them as EEP was for English Electric Preston.

The net shows EE Guided weapons making the Thunderbird and the Blue Water.

It looks to be a Blue Water tail fin.

The close up shows the same construction and square attachment as well as angled shape
