There are strong rumors that the current german government plans to buy less then 100 Typhoons and seems to be negotiating with the partner nations to cut their numbers in comparable style. With Britian also eager to get out of this programm, I think it is likely that there will be less then 300 planes built. Italians seem eager to get more F-16s and wait for JSF. Spain is looking at Rafale.
EADS is unoffical very concerned that the whole programm might be terminated.
Still rumors though, the german decision will be made offical on Tuesday.
