Every one as heard about the large flares coming out of the sun towards the earth? Well they just claimed two victims.

What are the likely effects of this on us if one of the GPS or GLASNOSS sats was hit by the flares!

Would it affect US ops in IRAQ? (I think yes but would like opinions)

What is they hit military coms or even Surveillance satellites?
