The Viewing Park and the Airport Hotel are (literally) at opposite ends of runway 06L/24R.
Interestingly, the 19A bus from the Cargo Centre to the Airport carries on and stops right outside the Airport Hotel. 🙂

The photos are taken from the viewing park yes.
The Viewing park is not close to the pub, its about a 45 minute to an hour walk away from the airport.
On weekdays you can get a bus to the cargo centre from the airport, and then make about a 10 minute walk to the Viewing Park, or on weekends their is a bus that goes from the airport right into the viewing park.

Great photos… having not been to MAN before for taking pics – are they taken from the Aviation Viewing Park?? And, is that close to the Airport Hotel with the pub garden that Grey Area frequents!! lol

Great stuff there Matt. Did you go for a larger memory card and save your shots at a larger size like I recommended?

Nice shots Matt – Good to see you are getting more at home with your new camera now – come naturally in the end. 🙂 Some very nice results here, in particular the Astraeus ones.
Also some excelletn shots from RIAT on the military forum… for someone who was unable to attend this year – its a pleasure to view what was at the show. 🙂 Love the Tristar pic.

Cheers, erm I didn’t get a Virgin, and the only FCA B767 I saw was one taxiing out of the Engine Test Bay… Sorry

Nice Matt,
Did you get any of the Virgin 744 or the FCA 767 that departed between 11am and midday to Sanford? 😀
