EGPF 10-12-13 A nice surprise for Glasgow

Took a trip to my local yesterday after i read a post on a group i belong to on Facebook about a C17 Globemaster that diverted in due to fog at Mildenhall, so i decided to go over and try to Catch her before she departed. the weather was poor and in some shots the sky is near black but those shots were taken at between 11:00am-12:00pm.

Glen thanks for the comment and i will try my best for your favorite aircraft
Culpano many thanks for the kind comment, the sky on the B.A is really good you would think that was evening time but it was really between 11:00am and lunchtime i thought i was getting a soaking but it stayed away, and the Aer Lingus shot turned out way better than i expected it to.
Again guys thanks for the kind comments

Superb shots. All different backgrounds and lighting.
That Aer Lingus shot is truly remarkable.
One of the very best aviation shots I’ve ever seen.

Guys thanks for the comments much appreciated

Yeah the atr prop blur was something i wanted to try out i didnt think it would have worked out as good as it did i was pleased with it

The C17 was posted on a group on my facebook that it had diverted from milldenhall due to fog so to let you into it, i read the message jumped out of bed shower then a 40min bus ride to airport, as i was nearing the airport i could see her tail and thought good she is still in, i got off the bus and was trying to decide where to go either to catch her rotating or to get her taxing, now to get her rotating is a 5min walk in one direction and to get taxing is a 10-20min walk in the other direction, as i was deciding i heard engines start up and thought S*** im gonna miss her and i started to run to gate 2 which is a good 3/4- a mile away and i am not of small frame (Fat B******), i got to the gate puffing and panting and she left 10mins later but it was worth the run just to get her just wish the sun had come out for her.
Again thanks for the comments

Brilliant set, Rab!

I think the Aer Lingus is masterful – unusual viewpoint and that prop blur -r-r-r !

Thanks for posting.

OMG Rab5869, these are some of the most excellent photos I have ever seen on here, what fantastic quality!

The Aer Lingus Regional one with the prop blur on it is amazing and my personal favourite.

And that’s a great catch with the C17 too, so a big well done to you sir and thanks for sharing!
