Had to be in the surroundings of Eindhoven that day so I decided to make a stop at this airfield 😀 , this was my first ever visit , the traffic was very slow but during the 3 hours I stayed there I still was able to catch a special bird : a smoking IL76 😀
Enjoy the photos below 😉

Yes. The entire military transport fleet is based there. Only the royal flight (PH-KBX) is based at AMS.
That the F70? Fab shots Fabke 😎 Like the Puma , the 1st Wizz air and the RNLAF Fokker 50 with the fields make it something speical.

A great varied selection there.
Favourite has to be the Ryanair 😀

Are you aware that this weekend will be the national “open dagen” for the air force at Volkel? Just half an hour north from Eindhoven up the A50. Weather will probably be crap though.
Thing you should know about EIN is that the air force does not do anything during the weekend. So want to spend a full day here, it better be a working day!
Yes I know this and I’ll be there 😀 , I’ll go also to Geilenkirchen for the NATO open house 😉

Thx all for the nice comments I received so far 😉
The KDC-10’s are indeed based at Eindhoven and so are the C130’s , sadly I didn’t saw any of them , but as said I only stayed some hours and I must have been very lucky to catch that IL76 as already many spotters told me they missed those beast each time
One thing is sure , I’ll go back for a whole day very soon to Eindhoven and I’ll try to catch one of those (Dutch) transporters and maybe some F16’s 😀

Nice photos! You where lucky with the Il, the RNLAF normally hires another one. At the EWAS forum we have now gone so far as to call it “the RNLAF Il”.
How come everyone that ever goes to EIN comes back with one or two Ilyushins, but everytime I go there the best I can hope for is an Ilyushin parked away at the far end of the field? I am just half an hours drive from there, and in 3 years spotting there only seen 4 Il-76s of which only 2 in the air. And visbility then was low due to fog! I hate karma.
Is the Dutch KC-10 fleet based at Eindhoven too ?

An excellent selection, Fabke. It’s nice to see shots from somewhere a little different!
