Well if anyone earned the right to rest in peace, it was this lady. She was a great actor, and her work for others less fortunate than herself is well known and appreciated by very many people. May she indeed RIP.:(

Indeed, a legend has passed.
A viewing of National Velvet is long overdue…

She was a true Hollywood legend and one of the greats for sure.
She had been ill for a long time now though so maybe its a blessed relief for her.
RIP Liz

No doubt she is, but did you have to put it so bluntly ?
If you are dead, you are dead. It is not blunt, just a statement of fact, surely. Perhaps you prefer the dreaded euphemisms like passing away or passing on or gone to the big film set in the sky. I know some people find them “kinder” and “more sensitive”. I suppose there is an argument in their favour when talking directly to people who are known personally, but I am not aware that any of us knew her personally.:)

She was one of my all time favourites, along with Richard Burton, sadly, there are not many of the “Old school” actors/actresses left unfortunately.

Well, she was certainly one of the last true film “stars”. Never a great actress although in “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf” she excelled herself. I think she had been ill and confined to a wheel chair for some time but certainly a great star to be mourned.
