Elvington Photos

Sorry about the egg whisk and paraffin burners 😀

Saw the reds/microlight ‘formation’ through the lens but it was just too far away for a photo.

Alexis, The pole did just seperate rather than snap due to a fault with the pole. It was fixed for today and it was fine but the pole is to be replaced this week in time for Shoreham next weekend.
The poles are made of carbon fibre and are therefore very strong, the reason the pole is bending so much in the last shot is that the holder is pulling the ribbon too tight.

Best display of the weekend (apart from Denny). Mark Linney in the F-86.

thanks, the AT-6 was from Anthony Hodgson’s stable according to the programme, kept at a private strip in North Wales. Was supposed to be accompanied by a Beech 18, but that did not turn up unfortunately.

Think the pole simply separated rather than broke, they are in sections, rather like a long fishing pole I believe. Mind you its certainly bending a bit in this previous frame!

Did one of the polls break as Denny went through it?
