Went up to Newcastle today, as well as literally hundreds of others, to see EK.
Arrival Shots were taken from the middle of the farmers field, slightly east of the Coach lane corner.
Departures taken from the west end of the airport.
Enjoy, Regards

what A330 series do Monarch use as the Emirates A330 seems to have a bigger wing span it takes up stand 30 and stand 8 has to be empty whilst the Emirates is on pier because the wing overhangs stand 8, i though it was the same series A/C that monarch uses?
Monarch use a A330-200 Dan mate so its the same model as the EK. Its only parked across 8 so no one sneezes near it !! :diablo:

Excellent shots! My aircraft parked next to it earlier on and it is a beautifal aircraft! Was a great sight! 🙂

The A330 they used on the first day is infact the oldest aircraft in the EK fleet.

Awesome selection there :D, I’m sure this is the start of a very successful service for EK and NCL. First time I’ve seen the belly logo on one of their A330s too .
Yes, i think they put one of their best planes for the first route into Newcastle.
The used A330-200 A6-EAQ for yesterdays flight.
Thanks again guys.
Regards 😀

I’ve missed those 330s @ MAN!
I think the, Etihad, Qatar, MyTravel, Thomas Cook, US Airways, bmi british midland, make up for the UAE 332s?
😮

Was hoping to catch a couple of UAE BBJ’s when i was there, heard that they could be coming in a few times recently, but no luck.

Nice shots. Is this new route seasonal or is it operating all year round?
