Emirates airline to buy 50 Boeing 777-300s. The list price for the deal is $US18 ($A17.79) billion. The announcement was made Sunday by Emirates chairman and CEO Sheik Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

Perhaps they are going to put them on shelves around their walls , to give their wives something to dust?? Or stick them in Albums as part of their collection ??

Yeah, that must be the reason.
Why on earth would anyone buy so many Boeings, if it wasn’t just to secure against delays from Airbus.

I just looked at an article that said that Emirates was buying them as a hedge against delays for the A350. Did anyone else hear about this?

I just hope they find sufficient people and other such things.
I’ve never flown Emirates but people who have tend to rate them very highly, so perhaps it won’t be as difficult as it seems.
