There has been quite alot of speculation recently about Emirates starting Dublin-Dubai.But there ha been to comment from Emirates and people are saying its nothing but a rumour.BUT Emirates are sponsoring a horse racing festival here in Ireland and are offering a huge prize of a trip to Dubai staying in the 7 star hotel.Maybe its a bit late now for winter service but what do you think about next summer?

Im very sorry if I came acrros as saying I hated glasgow or I though less of it than Dublin.i was just going on the stats that Dublin hadles more passengers thats all.
It’s a bigger airport than Glasgow, don’t worry my friend. 😀

Why suprised about Glasgow? Emirates have said it is the 1st route they have ever started and made a profit on in the 1st week of operations.
What’s the break even number on an A332?
The service averaged 40% loads going by CAA figures in April.

Their route from Glasgow is handy for Norn Irish too 🙂 GLA is only about 90mins up the road after the ferry across to Scotland.
And if you take the Belfast-Troon Seacat ferry you can be at GLA in a further half hour. Possibly quicker when the M77 reconstruction is finished, that particular piece of work should make PIK a lot more attractive as well.

Their route from Glasgow is handy for Norn Irish too 🙂 GLA is only about 90mins up the road after the ferry across to Scotland, or cheap flight with Easyjet or FlyBe from either of the two airports, saves the hassle of going via LHR, especially for those who don’t like crowded places (g)
Of course a Dublin route would be even handier, no water to cross and only 100 miles from Belfast, with the train, bus or car to get there.

I wouldn’t be surprised if EK started a Dublin service at all.

I relaise that totally Bmused but its quite a smart way of advertising others should look at it but I find it strange all the UK routes espeically Galsogow and still now Dublin service.

Giving away a trip and starting a route are two entirely different things.
Don’t assume the rumours are true because of the prize. Just wait and see I say.
