The illustrious flying days of RAF Coltishall a rapidly drawing to a close.
April 1st will see 6Sqd fly off to RAF Conningsby and 41(F) numberplate handed over to FJWOEU.
As with the Shar, the Jaguar (in my view) should not be being drawn down early. π‘
Living in ‘rural’ Norfolk, is getting a bit lonely now, as post 1st April there will only be one Operational RAF flying base left in the county (RAF Marham).
There used to be over 30 RAF bases in Norfolk (Mostly during WWII) as well as many USAAF bases.
Most military activity in South Norfolk these days are the F-15’s from Lakenheath (long may they continue).
So apart from chewing the odd piece of straw and chatting to Tony Martin there isnβt much to do!!!!!!!!!!!!! π
