End Of An Era – Popham?

Perhaps many who are familiar with Popham Airfield will be sad to know that Dick Richardson, the Airfield Manager since the start of Popham around twenty five years ago, retires towards the end of this year. Since Charlie Church died, Dick has been the inspiration and guiding hand in the growth and popularity of this major aviation venue.

To mark Dick’s retirement, there is to be a Fly In on Monday, 26th August. If the weather isn’t up to it, I hope that as many as may be possible will drive there. Let’s pitch up in numbers to give him a retirement occasion that he will long remember.
