What a relief! It was being discussed in London around 8-10 months ago, and was decided back then.
It really was a poor airshow, with big gaps between acts and clearly planned with a budget in mind. Good day out for the local families though. I won’t miss the Monday morning FOD plod, or the sheer amount of disruption it caused on the station to all personnel as things just stopped working “because of the airshow”. From the inside it was a real blight on normal ops, and a heavy security risk.
If it moves to Scampton, perhaps they can saw pound coin size holes in the accommodation blocks and set up a repair fund for the station, it really is a land that time (and money) forgot.

Although it is clear that plans are under consideration for a new show at Scampton the year after next.
