engine projects ?

Hei to everyone,

For some time there is a thread about instrument panels, but how about aero engines?
Are there people who have an engine project?
I have a Renault 12 S 00, this is a license built Argus 411, which I hope will run again later this year. The only thing I still need are some watertight spark plugs.

Best regards,

Mathieu

This is something I have been dreaming about for a long time.
However, for the time being, I live in a small flat with no access to a decent workshop, so I guess I have to delay my Merlin plans/dreams… 😎

Good luck with your project!

Argus

Watertight spark plugs? Won’t gas-tight ones do the trick? Like…well…all spark plugs really….

Is this a Storch engine? I’m not that whizzed up on which models fit what.

Al I know is that if you have a potentially airworthy engine then it could be put to its original use for the pleasure of many and be worth a few quid..

It is frustrating when spares are sought for old engines – I have been there – only to draw a blank.

Whats its history?

Finally, My guess is that without the cowling/ all the cooling baffles you may well overcook the rear cylinders (at least) if you run it for any length of time.
