Enginefest Aerojumble – Parts I.D.

I have just finished putting together a heap of items from the last clearing out of the Boulton Paul Aircraft Heritage Project to sell at the Enginefest Aerojumble at the Halfpenny Green Easter Wings & Wheels, next weekend. As well as VC-10, BAC.111 and Concorde Power Control Units (A rare opportunity to buy a piece of Boulton Paul/Fly-by-wire history, in the case of the Concorde units a very big piece), there were four items I hope Forumites will be able to I.D. for us

706A VHF Nav Receiver

Type 301 Power Unit

Type TR1985 Trans-Receiver

Type 57 Rotary Transformer

Can anyone tell us what aircraft these will have been fitted to ?

Read, and replied, Andy.

I’ve just heard that the Stig is coming again. He didn’t pay last time, at CockpitsWest last September, but then I hear he doesn’t know what money is for. We are having a rally auto-test, organised by the local rallyers, so I don’t know if he will be taking part in that. He left a lot of tyre rubber behind when he drove an Ariel Atom last time.

Hi, Guys, still hoping someone will identify those parts, so I can label them correctly.

Every weekend?

Yes, it seems that way.

Due to having just attended the excellent BDAC event at Old Sarum this weekend and planning to attend Shoreham (a staple, that one:D) in a fortnight, I shall have to forgo going to Wulfie’s Engine Fest next weekend – sorry Wulfie old chap. The R-2800 will have to wait until next year for its outing:(

Hope the weather bucks up a bit for you.

Anon.
