I can’t belive it, we have done it! I was up at 7am today waiting for the game, and what a game it was! It will certainly be a game that I will wanna watch in years to come, and I can’t belive Jonny Wilkinson with 20 seconds to spare in extra time! Thank You ๐

I didn’t watch it live but caught the last few minutes of the highlights and they were scary enough for me. It proved what I said to my other half on Friday though – that it would be a hard fought match as both teams had everything to play for. Well done lads you’ve done us proud. Bet there’ll be some sour grapes from the French though as they could not even manage to win a wooden spoon

I didn’t watch the match – and haven’t seen any of it since our marvellous TV channels can’t get their heads around the idea of consistency of timings for news programs at the weekend โ but I have seen a โgentlemanโ who thought that the England team didnโt play as well as they could have. As I understand it he was to shave his hair off if England lost and he was so disappointed with the match that he shaved about a third of his head (Around his right ear, and that area) instead!
That, coupled with a crowd of totally newt-like supporters holding up traffic and St George flags in a city centre whilst singing just the chorus from Swing Low Sweet Chariot, makes me thinks that football supporters have defected en mass – until the next footy match anyway!
Were there any commentators comments to rival the famous โThey think itโs all overโฆโ?
Flood.

Masochist! I was 34 when it started, three hours later I was 55. Brilliant fabulous fantastic great reslut, but bloody hell boys! It really didn’t do the old ticker much good…. ๐
Oh, and many genuine thanks to our Scots cousins who have congratulated England on our win. Yet again, you show that you have a fairer attitude to sport than us Sassennachs.

Well done chaps, I’m now putting on the tin helmet for protection from the blanket media coverage of back slapping and jingoism (lol) ๐

Just fantastic.
After all the shi7 the Oz press gave us saying we can only kick the ball and are a boring team….. wasnt that the way they played today?
Well done Woodward’s Boys!!

Well done England.
Let me guess? we will never here the end of it!
It will be — Remember when we won in 1966 and — Remember when we won in 2003.
One day the Scots will return! But unfortunately not now due to the fact we are pretty C**P.
As mention above a sincere well done to England!!!!
