Eric Carter only surviving member of No.81 Squadron, story here.

I met Eric at his home and he is a great story-teller. The picture in this article is one I took. I’m considering popping round with my video camera and doing an interview, would there be any interest in it though?

I wonder if Eric knew Tim Elkington (aka Cotteswold) who flew with 134 Sqn from Vaenga near Murmansk in late 1941.

I believe that anyone with such an interesting background, combined with an interest to tell it, should attract an interview.
