I was lucky enough to hear and meet Winkle in Cambridge in April 2014 – history on legs!

He received a standing ovation at the end of the talk!

The day is going to be great as we first have a talk by Clive Rustin and his 55 years in aviation. Then comes a buffet lunch and then Eric Winkle Brown. A question and answer session.

There isn’t really an alternative to putting the petrol or diesel in the car if you wish to hear what flying the Luftwaffe in captured hands was like !
