EU continuing inteference, be damned EU!

I hate the EU for its meddling. It would love to see AZ and OA go under same as it did with Sabena and SR! If a goverment wants to save their national carrier and its workforce, it should be allowed to do so.

I hate the beauracratic EU. They seem intent on seeing every national carrier bought to its knees.

I also hate them for bringing about continual noise regulations which has seen the premature end of many a fine 732, 727 etc. Damn the EU, Im voting UKIP!

And go on Italian goverment, defy the EU and save AZ

Granted, Interflug, but surely we can draw the line at extolling the virtues of one political party over another – all the more so if that party is founded on xenophobia and misplaced feelings of superiority over “foreigners”?

What on earth have the UKIP to do with aviation?

I’ll go along with that to a point, unfortunately though, politics and aviation
sometimes “overlap” due to the nature of the industry, sadly we can’t always avoid it during a debate.

I’ll try and make this very, very, simple indeed so that everyone can understand it.

This isn’t a political forum.

It’s an aviation forum.

If you have to talk about politics, why not go and do it where you can bore the ar*es off like-minded people without bothering normal people……such as on a feckin’ political forum?

Thank you. 🙂

Oi vey.

All I will add to this thread is my beleif that Alitalia should go under. They have had 3 years to shape up and streamline their business along with all the other airlines. But, their own greed prevented this. They dominate the italian domestic market, making it cost a small fortune to fly anywhere inside Italy. I know this as I work with several italians… they’re always bitching on about it.

For too long AZ have sat back and taken money with no care. Time to pay the price I’m afraid.

Oh…. and what they did to those 777’s is un forgivable. They’ve actually succeeded in making a new plane look old with that hideously outdated livery of theirs.

I have always found BA food tasty and its free. Better than having to fork out 3 quid for a curly sandwich or have to make do with a tub of Pringles on a 2 hour flight to Spain.

I just had a bad feeling that this thread would turn into who serves food on a flight..Same rubbish, just the long way round to get to it!

DANAIRBOY.. If an airline serves food, then great, whoopee do for them,if they dont, then im not fussed either, because ive probably saved enough money to enjoy a fine meal at a local restaurant.
Your fascination will full inflight service is admirable, but it gets boring, tiresome and repetitive

Interflug 62M, I am all for the UKs withdrawal from the EU, hence my support for UKIP.

It seems that the EU hates the national state-owned flag carriers.

And what exactly is the UKIP’s stance on state ownership of air carriers? 😀

Correct on that one. AF was given billions and they got away with it. If somebody gave BA billions we’d be invaded for crimes against humanity!

I guess you’re a bit confused my friend.
AF is a State owned company.
BA is a private owned company.

What are “Stocks” or “shares ” about.

A company sells stocks to people outside of the company in order to raise funds.
The share holder SHARES the risks with the company. I the company makes profit, the stock holder makes profit, if the company losses money , the stock holder is asked to help the company.

This was the initial PURPOSE of the stock market.
The state owned companies still receive money from their main stock holders when running into troublel.

However in case of private company on the stock market , the stock holders just run away in case of RISK of trouble.

The purpose of the stock market now is no longer to help the companies , but just to make easy money and short term profit.
That’s why the system is totally fu**d up and why many companies have a disatreous short term strategy.

BA has chosen a system (private)
AF had chosen an other one (public) and the rules were different.
It seems that now the trend of the new EU/WTO have changed and that we are moved toward an all “liberalism” market.

It will be from my point of view a disaster, but that an other debate.
