As this is my first post, I’d like to introduce myself.
47, living in Manchester, and spotting since 1977.
My first camera was a Zenith E, remember them? I had a 300ml lens and took hundreds of pictures that have sadly gone AWOL many years ago.
I stopped spotting in the early 90’s for various reasons, but took up my anorak again in 2002.
About 6 months ago I was given a Canon350D with a 70-300ml and am close to 6000 images. God knows how much that would have cost in 7×5 glossy prints!!
I thought I’d start my first post with a great days spotting at the EUFA cup final day @ MAN. We’d known for a while that the final was being held at Eastlands, and after a great day in 2003 with the champions league final, expectations were high.
At one point, a Bolton v Everton final was on the cards, not the best 2 teams to bring in travelling fans.
As it happened we had to ‘make do’ with the Russians. Still it was a day to be savoured.
