Hey
Was just looking at the site of this new airline operating out of Manston – look what I found in the T&Cs:
What happens if my flight is delayed or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions?
Weather conditions are out of EUjets control, therefore, you will need to book and pay for a new flight.
A Touch harsh!!!
What does everyone think about this new airline? I can’t say Im optimistic…

Its funny that they say you have to book another new flight due to adverse weather conditions when they say this about cancellations outside of EUJet’s control:
Cancellation outside of EUjet control
a. Where a flight is cancelled as a consequence of general interruption, passengers are entitled to one of the following:
– transfer free of charge to an alternative flight to the same destination within 7 days of the cancelled flight
– a credit for the sector of the cancelled flight which must be used within 6 months of the cancellation.
– If a flight is cancelled after 20:00 local time, passengers are entitled to claim a retrospective refund of up to £50 / €75 per passenger with respect to hotel accommodation only (excluding hotel related services). This may be claimed by applying to EUjet, debis AirFinance House, Shannon, Co. Clare, Ireland within 6 months and must be accompanied by valid receipts.
– EUjet or its agents are not responsible for the arranging or booking of such accommodation.
When you think about it, weather is something out of EUJet’s control however its not included in this agreement? Wonder why? Maybe the rule will change.

Ive thought about this – its actually outrageos! I believe the IATA contract is to transport the pax to the destination or if that is not possible to offer a refund. They are gonna have to change that Condition I believe. Take a look at the destinations as well, very very ambitious from an airport that has no other services and not that great links to London. Also the flight times are not that attractive to business pax. Strange stuff…

OMG! So even Ryanair are more accomodating than EUJet! 😮

When I got stuck in Girona in January due to snow in the UK and Ryanair cancelled the flight – they transferred us free of charge on to the next available flight, which was the next day, but at least we didn’t have to pay all over again!
I find that a touch naive for an airline to expect people to do that. They could cancel flights everytime it’s windy, not operate the flight and make a fortune by never flying a single person on that flight!!!! I think Trading Standards would have a thing or two to say about that affair!
