I found the detail on Austravels website of the EAL charter to Sydney. I have paid to go delux class and although it is still a lot of money as im going over the xmas period, its a good-deal compared to the regular airlines.

Anyway i hope its enjoyable and im looking forward to the extra room. Im actually going to visit friends in NZ

If you can’t say anything of value then don’t say it at all

EAL_King,
I took the liberty of searching the Austravel website for you. There are many options including flight only travel to Sydney. There is a list of airlines that fly to Sydney below at the following address.

Would EAL offer the flight only option or would you have to go for the whole package? Maybe you want that?

EAL fly from Gatwick to Sydney once a week in the winter, I know this because I have a booking with them, via Austravel.

I hadn’t heard about it until I read you post, so, I’m unable to give any info I’m afraid. I don’t suppose that any pilot will turn back just for fun though – what happened? Can you elaborate? I’m interested as a passenger and not as a Monarch employee. I’d rather the pilot turned back or made an unscheduled landing if something went wrong on a flight I was on. Surely better than taking a chance?

Poor cow! Will she never fly again period or just never fly Monarch again?

There is an article in some womans magazine saying she had an in-flight turn back on a monarch aircraft, and will never fly again. Any info?

As far as I am aware, EAL are a charter airline and therefore will not be a participant of a codeshare agreement.

EAL_King. A woman I work with went to Florida recently with EAL and said that she had never been on a worse airline – absolutely disgraceful, she said. Perhaps they are doing you a favour by not flying to Oz…….

Unfortunately, EAL_KING Euopean Air Charter doesn’t fly to Australia. I’m not sure about any codeshares it has, but you’d be better off going with either BA or QANTAS, via Bangkok. Emirites, via Dubai, or Lauda, via Vienna. Hope this helps.
