Eurofighter 1/48 plastic plane : £60

Has anyone seen the new snap together plastic Eurofighter being sold at various aircraft museums? http://www.flightminiatures.com/Military_images/20000A-003.jpg

Does anyone her think its worth the £60 price tag? .

I used to have a similar model by long prosper before they went bankrupt but that was £29 Unfortunately that Typhoon came to grief when it crash-landed whilst I was tidying my room breaking its right canard

I think Revell themselves do an easy build kit of a eurofighter, i know in 1/48 they have a ready painted Spitfire mk II, all you need to do is just glue the wings/undercarriage/propeller etc together and hey presto, only about a tenner as well

I’ve seen that one and its stinks (painted opaque canopy and in old 1996 colors) . Sometimes I wish plane replicas cost as cheap as car ones

I think £60 for a snap kit is a bit excessive, but then some people will pay it as they don’t have the patience for an Airfix/Revell kit.

Personally I would go for the proper kits, I am not that keen on the snap together, and my other half has done a pretty decent job of his 1/48 Eurofighter (though I think his 1/48 Tornado is much better!)

Well by the fact that in USA (probably USA) it’s worth $39.95 which equates to about £22 (at a guess) in GBP, i’d say £60 is a rip off! Then again, it is Britain were on about. You can pick up a 1/48 kit of a Eurofighter for about £15
