Has anybody a source for real up-to-date information about the Eurofighter programme and delivery status? It seems that EADS is not too liberal with real information.
What I know:
Currently in final assembly: PS001, PS002, IT002-006, IS001-004, BT004-011, BS001-005, ST002-006, GS001-006.
GS001 will be delivered in June 2004, GT006 is delivered these days, GT007 and GT008 to be delivered in March and May resp.
In production are around 90 front-sections, 120 mid-sections, 90 tail-sections, 80 wings. Currently final assembly takes about eight month.
But still no serial production single-seater (PS001) flown!
And what is the status of the Tranche 2 talks?
Would it be a good idea to ask the Webmaster for a “floating” topic about the EF where everybody could contribute the latest status he is aware of? And perhaps we could do the same with other programmes, too.
