European Fw190s

Guys

Bit of a hot potato, but here it goes…

A few years ago, we were all hopeful of many fw190s gracing European skies, but with the export of the yagen example and the forced landing of the Jacquard example it’s not quite materialised. Has anybody got any updates on the ex Tom Blair example, the German registered or any other versions that may be nearing completion? Also, the Meier guys were resurrecting the ex- jacquard example, but all things have gone rather quiet?

Cheers

Funnily enough, I just found an old Classic Aircraft magazine which had a small article on the ex-Blair ‘190 flying in Germany. Still reckon it looks quite smart in its silvery scheme….

The ex-Tom Blair Fw190 was modified at Meier for a new German owner and eventually flew. It may have been the example where sheared or popped rivets were discovered in the wing which was being investigated to determine the cause.
