They are good as they are, slow the shutter down to to blur the water and keep the ski and rider sharp as someone said, well good luck with that:D
Yeh well will try next time round

Agreed with Derek. If the object stays on the same focus distance then you can try slower shutter speeds as long as the focus doesn’t alter. If the subject is moving along a line towards or away from you you will need to focus lock and be quicker.

The subjects are moving too fast for a slow shutter speed. Some of the pictures already have a bit motion blur. If they were moving in a straight line you could try a slow shutter speed and pan with the subject but if they are moving in circles or in an irregular way then a faster shutter speed is the way to go.

Nutters, but fair play.
My suggestion is to increase the shutter speed. Slow it down and the subjects may blur.

also i know what you mean about motion blur but because it was sunny the water reflections were causing a problem plus it was only the first time i had tried somthing like this so i had to guess on the settings but thank you very much for the feed back on the shots and i will take the comments into account for next time

Some very good photos there A-e!
Maybe next time try a few photos using a slightly slower shutter speed, so that the water and background is a little more blurred? That might add to a sense of movement and speed rather then the “frozen” water droplets you have captured in most of these images. However, I suspect it may be difficult to get the shutter speed just right, as too much blur would easily ruin the shot.
Please note, this is not a criticism in any way, merely a suggestion that might give a few pictures in a set like this a different “feel”.
Would be interested to know what camera/lens set up you were using….
