European Warbird Accident Reports

Can anyone give me a steer how to access information on the web, in English, on reports for accidents to warbirds on the continent? Is there a European equivilant of the AAIB that is available to read? Thanks

RE: European Warbird Accident Reports

Hi Christer.

I don’t actually think the AAIB investigated the accident of WG655 because it was still a military aircraft, it was never civvy registered while in the hands of the RNHF.

Presumably, military accidents are not available to the public?

As regards european accident investigation websites, there are a few on the web and you can get through the UKAAIB links page. If they are in a “foreign” language, then you should be able to use one of the online translators….hopefully.

Hope this helps a wee bit ?

RE: European Warbird Accident Reports

Hi Seafuryfan!

Regretably I have no answer to Your question but, the timing of Your posting gives me the creeps. I was just trying to find information on the accident of WG 655 but nothing on AAIB since it occurred too long ago. I read something, somewhere, that it was caused by a piston seizure. Maybe You can fill me in or point me in the right direction?!

Regards,
Christer
