was just reading an article in the lasted AFM on CAS ops in iraq, and i was quite suprised that it reported several A10s had been hit by suspected Rolands over iraq.
these Rolands were sold to iraq more the 10 years ago, yet they are still able to defeat the newest A10s’ countermeasures. this got me wondering about just how good these missiles are and whether they have been upgraded of improved over the years.
does anyone have specs on the Roland and any info on upgrades? cheers.
