Why don’t we cheat anymore?
We cheated by putting Cliff Richard on it (It’s supposed to be for unheard of groups isn’t it?

No, it isn’t. Many countries have entered established artists in the past. I seem to remember that quite often we used to have “stars” singing songs by less well-known writers. Sandy Shaw, Lulu and the Shadows all had a go.

Was only almost worth watching while in the pub, after several pints of [insert ale of choice here], with a sarcastic Togmeister commentating, and lots of other equally inebriated people around, none of whom will be able to remember the next morning that you were watching it and thus are unable to mock you for it…

For us the contest was for years for this wierd masocistic self-pity inferior complex show-off. We joked around that we will win the world cup in Football before we ever win in Eurovisions…and then came lordi and everyone was WTF, did we actually win it? And now the queer (not queer in that sense tough it wouldn’t be suprise given it’s eurovision:diablo:) annual event wasen’t cool anymore, not even that we have been as bad as we were before lordi..

The fact was that Wogan said what we all thought. A very clever and entertaining man! That idiot Norton is not a patch on him!

No it never mattered except in the early days where a multi country live broacast and link up was space age technology.
Now Wogan and his correct opinions on the stereotypical habits of the cheating nations has gone and that Irish non-comic Norton is in place, it matters even less.

Did it not occur to anyone that it was precisely Wogan’s snide and stereotypical commenting which caused the anti-British feelings? Not that it matters a jot anyway, but I have never understood the adulation for and reverence in which this presenter is held.

The best thing about it, and the single most reason why it is worth watching is for all the hot Eastern European chicks on it, one could go as far as to say you could watch it with the sound muted 😉

what song? whos the “artist” this year

I shouldn’t worry Scott. The song’s rubbish and the singer is an unknown. I must a point of going out the night it’s on.

The whole thing is an absolute load of rubbish. I think we should pull out and leave it to the third world countries to battle it out to their hearts content!

Wogan is a genius…..him (and his listeners) are the funniest thing on radio!

He’s Irish..the words Irish and genius don’t belong in the same sentence!
