Hi. My lad has bust the wireless dongle for his Saitek Cyborg Evo Wireless joystick. I have sent 3 emails to Saitek without the decency of a reply. I just wanted to know if its possible to get a replacement dongle. Any of you know if its possible?
Thanks
Ivan

I think ‘Dongle’ is a great word.

Please define “bust”.
I’m not familiar with this ‘stick as I prefer wired sticks (no probs with batteries dying at inopportune moments…) – if he has physically broken a piece off then you may be able to get it soldered and/or glued back on – as long as it isn’t part of a multi-layer circuit board where only some of the layers are attached to the broken solder joints/tracks.
From a quick look at the Saitek website, the problem is likely to be with a bluetooth dongle stuck in (your) pc’s USB port, paired with another built into the stick itself; if resoldering is not an option, you might find you can buy a new bluetooth dongle and reinstall the drivers etc that came with the stick to get it back working again – Saitek would be your best bet for finding out if this is possible (lack of email response so far probably means this would be a no-go) – bearing in mind, of course, that they would probably prefer you went and bought a whole new stick from them anyway…
Other than that, he might need to wait and see what Santa brings this year;)
Good luck!
