Excel airways to get A330's

Hi,
Ive noticed on Jethros and on other forums that Excel are to get at least two 330’s and will be used on longhaul routes.
jethros – excel airways

I find this quite a strange choice as their longhaul fleet is currently all Boeing but it’s probably to re-new their longhaul fleet and is probably the quickest option to choose Airbus.

Also are they not getting the newr 744’s now?

Thanks,

Well theres a suprise now i have been hearing rumours of a weekly service by Exel to Orlando from Newcastle next year using a Travel City Direct 747 but a330s are much more with in NCLs capablites and could work well.

Wow, that does surprise me. Excel always struck me as been a firmly Boeing operation, with the exception of the Air Malta A320’s.

I think they may still be getting the 744’s, to be used by Travel City Direct.
