Well I have a particular interest in this as I’m supposed to flying it in September, but pprune are reporting this morning that Excel will now have 2 x 737-400’s at Newcastle with Air Scandic operating the 737-800 programme with a 752!
A better aircraft to fly on but I’d have rather flown with Excel.
Can anyone shed any light?

Not exactly a new airline for NCL, having SCY based a Finnair 757 for a few years before it changed to an XLA 738 last year

I would much prefer a Scandic/Finnair 757 to an Excel 738, I think the AY 757s are quite modern, my friend flew MYT last year which was operated by an AY 757 and he thoroughly enjoyed the flight.

But Excel don’t have any B737-400s.
Shome mishtake, shurely? 😉
Nice lisp, Sir Connery

And presumably that frees up the 738 to go elsewhere.
Anyone got any SCY752 experiences they can tell me about?
I flew OH-LBS, MAN-HER when it was subbed in for what was meant to be a Flyjet B752. To be honest, it’s likely to be more comfortable than the Excel B738 would have been. Even though it was quite possibly my worst flight ever. 😉 Ok, well it was simply due to the fact that after the 3 hour delay(Flyjet’s fault), no food (Flyjet’s fault) and my ‘window’ seat turned out to be a nice blank wall. 😡 As you can tell, I’ve never had any horror stories concerned with any of the flights I’ve taken, hence why that particular flight was my worst. 😉

Nah only ever flown on the A300 with SCY, good airline though. The AY 757s tend to have less seats than UK charters have on their 757s.
