Hi does anyone know what aircraft Excel plan on using this winter to The Gambia from Manchester. I could be on this route and it is rather long haul been 6 or so hours. Hope they use a 747 but im guessing it will be a 767-200.
Can anyone confirm though.

I too am going to Gambia on november 4th through MYT but XLA flights, its the 09:15 on a saturday – its probably a 757, the IFE is just the standard tv’s above the aisle. The 757’s are getting on a bit though. Anyone know what the average temps are for november? some sites are saying 22C others 28C. I appreciate its not an aviation request – tommyinyork?

Have you looked on their website, Tommy?
I just have, and the answer to your question is on there.
Since I’m not a cruel man, here’s a clue…. “Additional Services”. :diablo:

Do Excel have IFE ?
Im avioding Astreaus to The Gambia for that reason, you can have short haul with no IFE but not long haul.

MAN-BJL is a 757
LGW-BJL is a 737-800
MAN-CPT has been cancelled and isn’t happening at all. Looks like competition from Globespan means that this was headed off at the pass.

There 747 wont do that. come on. there 747’s are in use everyday almost to Orlando Sanford, plus this winter there 747’s are getting pushed even futher because of the addition of there Cape Town flight from Manchester.. so i reckon 757 on the route.

757 is in range, so i’d think a 757 is logical
