where can we see possible J-10 exports going to? also any one might think there might be options for avionics and engines? They were considering either installing the Zhuk-M radar or the Elta 2035 or 2030? (Sorry I’m not too familiar with the Elta radars, could anyone do a comparison about these two radars?). Also the Engines will be the AL-31 series or an indigneous Chinese built one which will provide more thrust.
So far some export customers could be..
Indonesia- replace their older aircraft and F-16s
Myanmar- generally a customer of Chinese aircraft, they’ve recently bought MiG-29s so might be out of the question.
Sri Lanka- although they’re geared mostly towards ground attack, the aircraft could replace the Kfirs and MiG-27s
Thailand- also operates some Chinese equipment, possibly a cheaper alternative to the F-18
Vietnam- alright, we know they’ve been traditional enemies, but relations between the two have been looking up and most border disputes resolved and settled..it’d make a good replacement for the MiG-21 fleet and a better hi -lo mix with the Flankers.
