In march 2007 i am off to Madrid with Easyjet with a few spanish speaking students from my school. Anyway back to my question.
When you fly with Easyjet, is it a fixed seating plan or when you get on you just sit down?
thanks in advance

just while we are on the topic of seating.. i have only ever sat in “normal” seats once… even on the “package holiday” i have always paid £15 each way per person for extra legroom,..
Always sat in the center next to the exits… im not very tall… 5ft 10 and our lass is only 5ft 1, so we always get these people looking at us and i can see them thinking….”why do you get to sit there when your not tall and im 6 ff 5!! LOL!!
The fact is if i could upgrade to a better class i would ever time… i dont know about you but it does my head in even on a 4 hour flight to greece when i cant move!! its worth it every time and i enojy the flight even move… even if its just a case of standing up for a few mins and you dont bother anyone..
Also you get to speak to the cabin crew who sit right in front of you looking at you making that converstion “where are you going??” i reply “same airport as you i think?????”
Cheers

Speaking of seating, does anyone know where I can find seating configurations for Qatar Airways?
Try http://www.qatarairways.com/corp_fleet.html?linkdes_5 (ie the above) and http://www.airlinequality.com/Spcl/tip_QR.htm 🙂

Remember you can add “Speedy Boarding” at check in or at time of booking, then you get called up to board first. 🙂
Extra £5 though.
A complete con in my opinion (:)), when you can just ensure you check-in early and get boarding group A and get on practically first. Also, particularly at Gatwick, you can be bussed to the plane so it makes a mockery of the system. It’s almost as ridiculous as them assigning you Group C (?) when you check-in online – hardly worth it!

Have you ever mentioned this to the cabin crew on your flight or to the person themselves just out of curiosity?
Paul
I do yes, usualy by getting an F/A’s attention and saying “Could I get the information card on operating that exit, seeing as the person sitting there doesn’t seem to give a hoot”

there should also be a rule about common sense then too for Exit seats!
It boils my blood when the moron sitting in the exit seat pays no attention to the notices or safety briefing. My life could very well depend on his or her actions.
Idiots!
I know mate ive been on a few flights with a certain irish airline whos cabin crew didn’t even bother to tell people about the seat they are in now yes i knew how to use the door but been told by the crew just adds to the comfort.

Just noticed a problem mate. Your aged 13 and i think that means you cant have the wing escape window seat as you are too young and are not classified as a capable adult, ie that you cant operate the window in case of emergancy.
Its nothing against you mates its just the regualtions. If your in that row the cabin crew should alert you to the exit.

It can usually be an advantage to check in early and get a Group A boarding pass. Though it doesn’t always work. I checked in very early for an Easyjet Newcastle to Bristol flight and had boarding pass 001. They called groups A and B and we got onto a bus and sat there for a while and by the time we were eventually bussed out to the aircraft the people who had checked in later had already got there first on another bus and had bagged all the best seats. I usually try for 24A or 25F on an Ezy 737-700 – a window seat right in the back row with nobody behind you to dig their knees into your backside.
