I was hoping to locate photos of 2 seat F-104s without much success. As the new Alberta Aviation Museum example is an ex RNAF airframe I thought it had perhaps visited Scotland at some point. Well if it did I didnt see it! However just looking at my photos made me think that sharing some might bring more photos of D-5805 to light.
These top 3 were taken at Leuchars 1967-74 and the bottom 3 at Prestwick. RCAF665 was in 1965 (duff camera).

F-104s of all sorts of nationalities used to be a common sight around Lossiemouth, wailing around the circuit.
I have hundreds of photos of them that will require scanning, but in the meantime…

Here are three scanned prints that i have taken of D-5805.
The two static shots were taken at Deelan airshow 2nd July,1988 and the fuselage shot was at Gilze Rijen airshow 5th July,1997.
