Caught the Starfighters Team at MacDill AFB yesterday. They had all three A/C up and growling! It was stated that this was their first show that they managed to get all three airborne for a show. Great Job!!! They look superb and that trademark growl/howl……you know what’s coming!!! They should be flying again today. It does help that they “live” just across the bay at St Petersburg/Clearwater airport. If you check out Google Sat-you can make out two of the three birds on the ground there. Distinctive blue and white.

Mostly East Coast stuff. They are trying to set it up so they can hop from show point to show point to minimize the wear and tear on tires, brakes, ground crews and such.
They do sound distinctive. They overfly my house inbound to their home base at St Petersburg/Clearwater Int. Of course, when I hear them, they are already too far away to see!!

Sweet! I wondered when they would get that third plane up and running.
Saw them at Eglin AFB in Florida last year myself and though only one plane flew, it was a great performance!

Here is a pic of this momentous event, the first 3-ship airshow of the team. They are planning on a full summer of 3-ship shows(if their spares hold out. They are running into issues with tires, brakes, drag chutes, and all those other silly little bits to keep em up!
