Anybody know the gen on if/when work will start on this? A personal favourite of mine of the era along with the F-101. Powerful, fast on the deck, used on a strategic basis in North Vietnam while B-52’s did tactical work in the South – it just looks like a warplane….. wondered if/when there were plans to put her together?

Sorry to correct you but there is a 105 on the gate at Croughton as well.
I’ve heard about this second ex BDR airframe being displayed, but didn’t know where.
I’m ashamed to ask where is RAF Croughton? I thought I knew my British bases!

My mate who works there assures me it’s in the queue awaiting its turn, They have many projects and only so much resources at any one time.

She has recently been surveyed for what work needs carrying out on her and from what i have seen from various open panels she looks in fine knick.

Only 105 in the UK IIRC, every time I see it a twinge of sadness gets me, would make an outstanding static but is there enough money in the pot for this mamoth task?.
