F-105 Thunderchief

I doubt many here have actually flown the Thud, but does anybody know how it was to fly? Maybe a pilot they knew or something you read? All I can figure is that maybe it was a bit stiff on the controls when turning or something. Of course, I know it was very fast. Everything I ever heard or seen said that the only jets that could give it company or rather keep up with it during its day were the F-4 and probably the RA-5 Vigilante. I like the Thud. It’s an interesting jet. Too bad so many were lost. I doubt it was because of any flaw in the design. Rather because so many were used up North. You guys wanna talk Thuds?
